Portuguese for true beginners

You don’t need any Portuguese to start. Most of my Portuguese students know nothing, or only a few words, when we begin. We start with what you’ll actually say, not with grammar charts.

This is for you if:

• You have a Brazilian spouse or partner and want to speak with them in their language
• You want to connect with in-laws, family, and friends in Brazil
• You’re traveling to Brazil and want to order food, ask for directions, and get by
• You’ve tried apps and still freeze when someone speaks to you

What we work on in the first classes:

• Greetings, introductions, and small talk
• Ordering food, taking a taxi, shopping, and asking for help
• Everyday phrases you’ll hear from family, like tô com saudade and cê tá onde?
• Pronunciation, especially the nasal sounds, with easy comparisons to English
